I flew back to California today to pack up my house for the move. Next Thursday, I plan on driving our moving truck across the country, so there’s lots to do between now and then.

My name is Suzanne Thompson. I enjoy photography, dining at non-chain restaurants, trying new vegetarian recipes, reading, blogging, and exploring new locations...the three most valuable are family, faith, and friends.
I was born in England, moved to Ethiopia when I was four, then to America when I was seven. In American, I have lived in eight states. Bob and I were married in January 2010 and we currently live in California and North Carolina.

The resort we’re staying at has a couple friendly pigeons that keep visiting our porch and even just walk though the sliding door when it’s open. We had a few crumbs to feed them and I got them to land on my hand, then eat out out of it. One even walked up my arm...
This afternoon, I drove 6+ hours to Tucson to join Bob at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa. It was a great drive with deep blue skies and interesting clouds that later became a great sunset. Once I got to Tucson, I saw a coyote cross the road in front of me. When...
Bob and I went to Santa Barbara for the weekend, then drove down the coast on Sunday morning to Irvine where we attended the Photofusion Revolution with Clay Blackmore. More on the weekend and seminar later. But here is a photo I took of Bob on Sunday morning at the Viceroy in Santa Monica. A...
On Monday, Bob and I stopped at Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. Bryce had amazing formations. At Zion, we went for a walk between two Canyon walls…most of it walking through freezing water and sometimes almost full leg height.
In the afternoon, the kids had some fun at the campground pool. To celebrate Independence Day, I stopped by a fireworks stand, just near work. I had read that in Utah, there where height and noise restrictions so had to inquire if each item I bought met the requirements. We were unaware that the campground...
This weekend, we had a fun time exploring Capital Reef Park in Utah with Bob’s son and family. Here are some of the sights and interesting rock formations we saw. We all went in Ryan’s four wheel drive into the outback to look for rocks. This next picture I took of Bob……while he took this...
Bob and I were really excited to travel to Vegas for WPPI. For fun, we decided to drive north on 395, then go east through Death Valley as neither one of us had been there. About 20 miles from home, we got a ticket for overtaking a really slow car and when we pulled back...
This morning we arrived back from beautiful Bora Bora. What a great honeymoon location! Have some work items to catch up on (my day job), then I’ll post some pictures.
It’s hard to believe that today was our last day. We had a wonderful time. One thing that struck us is how many French tourists there were…even more than the number of American tourists. It’s so much farther to France than the US. I guess there’s a reason it’s called French Polynesia. The hotel desk...
