Suzanne Thompson bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

My name is Suzanne Thompson.  I enjoy photography, dining at non-chain restaurants, trying new vegetarian recipes, reading, blogging, and exploring new locations...the three most valuable are family, faith, and friends.

I was born in England, moved to Ethiopia when I was four, then to America when I was seven.  In American, I have lived in eight states.  Bob and I were married in January 2010 and we currently live in California and North Carolina.

Bob got the chainsaw started today and was excited to cut some trees down. I worked inside on getting the carpets pulled up so we could take them out of the house. Bob cleared out some of the trees down by the water and cut down some smaller pines. We’ll leave the larger trees to [...]

Closing Day!

Yay! We closed on our new home today. After we signed all the papers and received our keys, we drove over to the house. Bob was anxious to start cutting trees down, but he couldn’t get the chainsaw to work properly, maybe old gas. I was anxious to start on the inside. The first item [...]

Bertucci’s…and old favorite.

Bob and I had to stop somewhere for lunch on the drive home to Raleigh. I pulled out my iPhone and did some searching and discovered we would be going right by a Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant. Bob hadn’t eaten at a Bertucci’s before, so had never tasted their delicious brick oven pizza and I haven’t [...]

Being in a Tourist

Walked lots of miles around Washington, DC to see some of the Smithsonian Museums and Memorials. The National WWII Memorial is a large outside one that I like and here is a picture of a carnation that someone had placed on one of the carvings. This wall was filled with 4,048 of these gold stars…each [...]
