Suzanne Thompson bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

My name is Suzanne Thompson.  I enjoy photography, dining at non-chain restaurants, trying new vegetarian recipes, reading, blogging, and exploring new locations...the three most valuable are family, faith, and friends.

I was born in England, moved to Ethiopia when I was four, then to America when I was seven.  In American, I have lived in eight states.  Bob and I were married in January 2010 and we currently live in California and North Carolina.

Enjoying Florida

We had a nice relaxing time visiting with my parents. This morning, we stopped in Orlando, and walked around the lake. We stopped in Sanford and saw where Bob’s grandparents are buried. Then we saw a fruit tree that was at the lot where his grandparents used to live.

It was a fun trip across the country and I was so thankful for great weather…not even a spot of rain. As if driving through 22 states hasn’t been enough this year with two west to [...]

Home to Raleigh, NC

Today, I drove through Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia and home to North Carolina. Just after reaching West Virginia, I took a short detour to go into Ohio for a few miles so I could add that to the list of states I’ve been in so far this year. I was rewarded by seeing these [...]

St. Louis Arch

Stopped in St. Louis to see the arch. I forgot that it was spring break time, so wasn’t able to go to the top as all the tickets were sold out for the rest of the day. It was nice to talk around a little to stretch my legs before driving east some more. Made [...]

Made it to Denver

I didn’t make it all the way to Denver last night, but finished getting there today. I really enjoyed driving through the mountains. As I was driving down the mountains into Denver, Bob watched (from NC) me on the live weather cams. He took this screen shot as I drove by one of the cameras. [...]

Leaving California

As I wasn’t able to get everything ready yesterday to leave, I got up really early this morning. The big yellow truck and trailer is loaded and ready to go.
