My name is Suzanne Thompson. I enjoy photography, dining at non-chain restaurants, trying new vegetarian recipes, reading, blogging, and exploring new locations...the three most valuable are family, faith, and friends.

I was born in England, moved to Ethiopia when I was four, then to America when I was seven. In American, I have lived in eight states. Bob and I were married in January 2010 and we currently live in California and North Carolina.

Bora Bora Arrival

After a brief stop on Moorea, our plane landed on one of the motu’s in Bora Bora. We were greeted with fragrant leis and led to our water taxi for a half hour boat ride to Le Moana Resort. Upon arrival our hostess offered us a wash cloth and refreshing mango drink while checking in. Our overwater bungalow had the best location…the farthest one out from the shore with lovely views of the lagoon and Mount Otemanu.
We had reservations for eating at La Villa Mahana this evening. It’s a small French restaurant owned by chef Damien Rinaldi, with only one waiter and five exclusive tables. Damien created an interesting and tasty vegetarian meal for us. I’ll close with a picture or our overwater bungalow at night. The light on the water below the bungalow is coming through the glass coffee table in our livingroom.
