Suzanne Thompson bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

My name is Suzanne Thompson.  I enjoy photography, dining at non-chain restaurants, trying new vegetarian recipes, reading, blogging, and exploring new locations...the three most valuable are family, faith, and friends.

I was born in England, moved to Ethiopia when I was four, then to America when I was seven.  In American, I have lived in eight states.  Bob and I were married in January 2010 and we currently live in California and North Carolina.

Christmas Eve

Today, we finished up some Christmas shopping which included going through the checkout at a busy, but efficient, Albertsons three times. Bob waited was waiting in a line, but made it through the checkout before I got there, so I went through another one. We then picked up some Hershey kisses at CVS and decided [...]

Buttercream and ?

After going to the LA Flower Market, Bob and drove to Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes. Today was the big day for our cake tasting. We sampled two fillings: fresh strawberry cream and cannoli cream with fresh raspberries. We liked one better than the other…but you’ll have to wait until the wedding [...]

Here are a few more pictures from Sunday’s Photog Shootout in Claremont. It’s so fun to get together with photographers from the area to practice taking photographs. Our group was lucky to have a computer train go through…not exactly a 1920′s train, but I like the movement in the background.

Engagement Photos

I hadn’t collected my mail the past couple of days and when I stopped by today I was delighted to see a package from Hanssie Trainor, one of our photographers. Inside was disk with our engagement photographs. There were also a couple small accordian folios with a selection of pictures, so it’s great that we [...]

Today, Bob and I took my parents to Rancho Palos Verdes so they could see the Church where we’re going to get married and the reception location. We also stopped by Terranea where we may stay the first night. Bob and I walked down to an ocean cove at Terranea. On the way up the [...]
