Today, Bob and I took my parents to Rancho Palos Verdes so they could see the Church where we’re going to get married and the reception location. We also stopped by Terranea where we may stay the first night. Bob and I walked down to an ocean cove at Terranea. On the way up the hill, we saw a lady with a Harris Hawk. She told us that when Terrenea opened this summer, they had “snow” due to all the sea gulls. She brings hawks 2-3 times a week to Terranea and the hawks are trained to fly to the roof or tree tops to scare away the sea gulls. They then fly back to the owner to be rewarded with food.
