The day after my birthday, Bob and I hiked part way up Mt Whitney to Lone Pine Lake (about three miles). The scenery was beautiful. What a great way to spend the day. Last year, I started up the hill, but at the second creek crossing, decided to turn around. I only received my camera the day before and didn’t want to risk slipping on the rock the first day I had it. The hike was worth the views.
